Let’s make the most of this New Year!

Let’s make the most of this New Year!

Here we are in another New Year

I’m sure you feel like most people right now. Uncertain, unsure, and frightened of the unknown. It doesn’t help when we have grief added to our plate.

Now is when we need to make the most of the unknown, uncertainty, and fear! We need to take a look at ourselves and see what our purpose is.

Start setting ourselves up for success to not spiral into added depression that is unnecessary with our already heavy burden.

What is your plan for this year?

Do you have one? Are you setting goals for yourself? These are all honest questions that you should investigate to get yourself motivated for success.

Having a plan of action helps the creative mind formulate action, preparing the grieving mind to move forward towards the healing process.

It also encourages us to make positive behavioral changes that can bring us closer to living a more fulfilling life after losing our loved ones.

Some ideas for “Making the most of the New Year.”

  • Eating healthier
  • Exercising regularly
  • Journaling
  • Signing up for a race
  • Going back to school
  • Taking a class (art, martial arts, pottery, woodworking)
  • Finding a new hobby
  • Giving back to the community
  • Writing a book 🙂

A few ideas to get your thoughts going in the right direction, and hopefully, you will find that one thing that will become the “it” for you.

We are different people after we lose our loved ones, and that is ok. What is important is that we find new ways to embrace our new unique selves.

We will see a whole new world of opportunities that will honor our loved ones while still allowing us to live our lives.

My goals for the New Year!

Are to make the most of this year is to embrace this ever-changing world as it comes. To acknowledge all opinions and be open-minded and non-judgmental.

Also, to finish my children’s book and start on my third non-fiction book while emphasizing research and expanding on my journey over the last six years.

I am also happy to announce that the first Zoe Raine Galasso Memorial Scholarship will be presented at the end of this school year. It was made possible by all of your support this last year!

Thank you. Thank you!

xo, Michelle
